About Cheyne

Cheyne is a Director of Built Projects and the C.E.O of the Group, with over 15 years of extensive construction industry experience working on a variety of flagship construction projects across NSW. He has previously worked extensively as a Project Manager, Accredited Building Certifier, Town Planner, and Property Consultant on some of NSW’s largest projects before becoming C.E.O of Built Projects.

Cheyne has successfully delivered projects across a wide range of market sectors from high-density residential, commercial, mixed-use integrated multi-dwelling developments and residential housing subdivisions.

Cheyne is responsible for the successful operation of the Group, which includes marketing, work conversion, budgeting, financial forecasting and general overseeing of all operations. He assumes the responsibility of ensuring the profitability of the business, constantly monitoring the supply chain and the business’s cash flow, and actively assumes the Business Development role of the Group.

Cheyne is well recognised for his reliability, honesty and strong interpersonal skills combined with his innate ability to develop and foster positive long-lasting working relationships.

About James

James is the Managing Director of Built Projects, with over 15 years of post-graduate construction industry experience. He has previously worked extensively as a consulting structural engineer with a focus on medium-density and high-rise concrete and steel structures, before transitioning into estimating and construction project management for industry-leading construction companies.

James has successfully delivered projects on-time and within budget across a range of market sectors from medium-density residential, commercial, mixed-use integrated multi-dwelling developments and residential housing subdivisions.

James is responsible for the planning, design, and delivery of all multi-residential and mixed-use projects delivered by Built Projects. He is also the primary point of contact for prospective and engaged clients with support from the senior management team. As a Senior Project Manager, James ensures all aspects of the construction process exceed relevant codes and the best practice methods are used to ensure safe efficient sites.

James is well-recognised for his honesty, transparency, and strong interpersonal skills. Combined with his ability to develop and cultivate positive internal and external stakeholder relationships, he is able to establish a rapport with people from all backgrounds.

About Thomas

Thomas is the Construction Manager of Built Projects and has over 10 years of experience working on a variety of construction projects across NSW. He combines years of hands-on formally qualified carpentry experience with an extensive technical background in site and construction project management.

Thomas’ experience in building complex projects is essential in his role as Construction Manager for Built Projects. Thomas oversees the day-to-day running of each project in Sydney as well as mentoring staff ’s understanding of the most up-to-date and effective building methods. He is continually looking for ways to improve how we currently build.

Thomas is well recognised for his integrity, construction knowledge, and passion in achieving the desired outcomes of our clients. This is reflected in the successful completion of many multi-million dollar private and government contracts within both the residential and commercial sectors.
