Cheyne is the Founder and Director of Built Projects, bringing more than two decades of construction and property development experience. Beginning his career as a bricklayer’s labourer in 2002, he progressed through hands-on site roles while completing formal studies with the Master Builders Association, Western Sydney University and UTS.

Cheyne has since held senior positions including Project Manager, Site Manager and Building Code Consultant, contributing to the successful delivery of major and complex projects across New South Wales. His broad experience spans high-density residential, commercial, mixed-use, seniors living and multi-dwelling developments.

Today, Cheyne oversees all aspects of Built Projects—operations, budgeting, financial forecasting and project delivery—while remaining actively involved on the ground. Known for his reliability, integrity and strong leadership, he combines practical expertise with strategic oversight to ensure high-quality outcomes and long-term client relationships.

About WARREN

With over four decades of hands-on experience, Warren James is a highly respected licensed builder and master bricklayer, proudly working in the construction industry since 1978. Known for his exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and dedication to quality, Warren has built a reputation grounded in trust and integrity.
